We are in the middle of a nasty july heat wave. It’s 97F plus humidity outside right now. The river is showing it too.

My Weatherbug says its 97F outside

It’s not always ugly.

Cloudy skies across the river.

I used to call these Tiger Lilies when I was a kid.
I got back home to New Hampshire on Saturday night. Sunday morning I was out ice climbing with my husband at Rumney. I didn’t do a lot of runs but I was happy to just get out and try it again. It took me a few tries to remember some ice climbing technique, but I think I made good progress. I’m looking forward to getting out again.
I ran 13.2 miles to take this picture. It’s a statue of a rower by the rowing course where I rowed in high school. I decided that I wanted to take a picture of this statue for a blog post and my parents had just given me my new Garmin Forerunner 305, so I took it for a test run. It turns out that his statue was in the center of an almost perfect half-marathon loop.
My hubby and I took the afternoon to go play at our local Climbing Gym Vertical Dreams. I tweaked my hand in a fall so I didn’t get to climb as much as I wanted to, but it still was fun. I started playing with taking pictures of climbing holds using macro closeups and near the wall angles.
I came home from my snowshoe race with one goal in mind, to bring my dog to the beach. I love where I live for it’s location. The beach isn’t next door, but it’s 45 minutes from some wonderfully fun beaches. With the seawall it’s one of the safer places I know to let my pup run off leash like an idiot.
These pictures were taken on the part of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, North of Boar’s head.
